Dear all,

I would like to inform you about the Short Course on Measurement Techniques and Data Processing for Scientific Research in Hydraulics, which I’ll be teaching at the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Parma, Italy. The registration is free of charge (meals are not included). The course is intended for Ph.D. students, postdoctoral researchers, and anyone interested in advanced measurement techniques in hydraulics and fluid mechanics. It will be held in person.

The course combines theory and hands-on laboratory sessions, covering topics such as:

• Measurement systems and uncertainty analysis
• Dimensional Analysis
• Signal processing and Monte Carlo methods
• Advanced optical techniques (e.g., Particle Image Velocimetry)
• Data acquisition, analysis, and presentation
